Sinsery Gardner

Sinsery Gardner was born and grew up in Indonesia. She lives in Ann Arbor with her husband, a daughter, and four pets. She is currently a Ph.D student and research assistant at the Oakland University, Rochester, MI. She holds B.A. and M.S. degrees in early childhood education from Eastern Michigan University.  She taught preschool for more than ten years. Her teaching experiences has led her to study early father involvement in preschool children.  Sinsery’s first research topic was teachers’ perceptions on early father involvement in preschool classrooms. Sinsery has presented in local and national conferences such as Michigan Association for the Education of Young Children (MiAEYC) and National Association of the Young Children (NAEYC). She has received scholarships and awards, such as 2013 Terri Lynne Lokoff/Children’s Tylenol National Child Care Teacher Awards.
